Child Criminal Exploitation Awareness Course

Course Overview

This half-day course is designed to raise awareness and understanding of Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) among those who work directly or indirectly with young people. The training aims to help professionals recognise the signs, understand the risks, and respond effectively to concerns or disclosures.

Focusing on prevention, early identification, and safeguarding, this course provides participants with the skills and confidence to recognise and respond appropriately to criminal exploitation, including county lines, gang association, and other forms of coercion or manipulation.

The training aligns with key legislation and guidance including the Children Act 1989 & 2004, Serious Crime Act 2015, Modern Slavery Act 2015, Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018), and local safeguarding partnership procedures.
